How we review software
What goes into a MoneyWika review, how we keep it current, and what to do if we get something wrong.

Who we write for
Small business owners, agency teams and operators who are about to pay for a tool and want to know whether it is worth it. We write for the buyer, not the vendor.
How we choose what to review
We pick tools our readers ask about, tools that come up when small teams compare their options, and newer tools where good information is still hard to find. Brands can pitch their product, but a pitch does not guarantee a review.
What every review covers
- Real pricing. Plan prices, what pushes you into the next tier, add-ons, renewal rates and the cost of the features most teams actually need.
- The job it does. The features that matter for the use case, judged against the questions a buyer would ask.
- Limits and drawbacks. Where the tool falls short, what is missing, and the complaints that come up again and again from paying customers.
- Who it suits. Who should buy it, who should skip it, and the alternatives worth comparing.
Where our information comes from
- Hands-on use through free plans, trials or demo accounts where we can get access.
- The vendor's own pricing pages, documentation and changelogs, re-checked whenever the review is updated.
- Feedback from verified customers on review platforms such as G2, Capterra and Trustpilot, read for patterns rather than one-off complaints.
Prices are in US dollars unless we say otherwise, and they can change after we publish. Always confirm the final price on the vendor's checkout page.
Comparisons and rankings
Comparisons put two tools side by side for one specific job and end with a clear pick for each type of buyer. Rankings in our lists are editorial decisions. Commissions and partnerships do not decide the order.
Keeping reviews up to date
Software changes fast. We revisit reviews when a vendor changes its pricing or a major feature, and the "Updated" date at the top of each review shows when it was last revised. Reviews we can no longer stand behind are rewritten, merged into a newer guide or removed.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, an outdated price or a broken link, please tell us. We correct factual errors as quickly as we can and update the date on the review when we do.
Money and independence
MoneyWika is published by MarkSurge and earns from affiliate commissions and labeled brand partnerships. A brand cannot pay for a rating, a ranking or a verdict in an editorial review. Our advertising and affiliate disclosure has the full details.
